Mary Harker
I have been a governor at Andrew Marvell Business and Enterprise College, originally as a parent governor and, as my sons left the school, I was appointed as an LEA governor.
I was elected as chair of governors in December 2009, this followed the disappointing news that the school had been placed in ‘special measures’.
I am employed by the Local Authority as a Senior Governor Support Officer. This involves advising and training governors, and developing their ‘critical friend’ role.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and watching sport.
Born and educated in Hull, I currently live with my partner, Paul and 2 sons, Kevin and Jordan in East Hull.
