Level 3 Teaching Assistant  - Behaviour, Guidance and Support - Fixed Term
Salary: Grade 6 - SCP Point 23-26  £17350 - £19088 (actual salary) 
Hours: 37 hours per week  Term Time only plus 5 Training Days

The college is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join a team of committed, caring and enthusiastic staff who share the college philosophy that all students should have the opportunity to achieve.  This is a very exciting moment in the development of AMBEC as the College is being rebuilt under the Building Schools for the Future Programme.

Required as soon as possible.  This is a 1 year fixed term appointment in the first instance.  To work within the Learning Support Unit supporting identified students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties across both Key Stages in order for them to overcome barriers to their learning.

The role includes oversight and monitoring of a group of students with responsibility for their programmes of intervention, curriculum provision, access evaluation and review.  It will also be necessary to undertake a partial role in implementing other systems within the Whole College Positive Discipline structure.

Qualifications in Maths, English and ICT are desirable and the successful applicant will be expected to gain relevant qualifications and undertake any necessary training.

Andrew Marvell College is a vibrant educational establishment and has over the past 4 years achieved record examination results every single year.
