Coniston to Hornsea Sponsored Walk
On Thursday 5th April 9.45am 20 dedicated walkers including staff and students and one cute little pooch set off along the Hull to Hornsea Railway line to help raise money for the schools Pioneer Co-operative Trust.
The weather was perfect for the 13 mile walk and the walkers completed the walk in a fantastic time of 2hrs 45minutes with only one 15minute refreshment break.
On completition of the challenge and with feet raised to rest our aching blistered feet we all tucked in to a well deserved 'Sullivans fish and chips'!
All sponsorship money raised will be going directly to the school Pioneer Co-operative Trust to enable the Trust to offer a £1000 pupils grant. The grant will be offered during the Summer term to all students of Andrew Marvell College o apply for. Successful applicants to the grant will be asking for funding to help fund a project or hobby that they participate in outside school.
Please keep checking back to see when the pupil grant will be available and also when all the sponsorship money from the walk has been counted to see how much we raised.
