Welcome to Andrew Marvell Business & Enterprise College.

Andrew Marvell is a mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11-16. It serves an area to the east of the city which has a mixture of private and council housing. There are 1200 pupils currently on roll. AMBEC is working in partnership with the co-op.

The granting of Business & Enterprise status in 2004 has seen the college go from success to success. Our most recent OFSTED inspection (November 2009) placed the college in special measures. As a result we have put in place a robust action plan to turn these matters around.

We are working to produce citizens of tomorrow, equipped with creative and technological skills, to live and work within a changing local community. We welcome all agencies connected with the college to work in partnership, creating a climate where our investment in people helps us in developing a risk-taking culture to promote innovative and confident learners. The principles of inclusion and equal opportunities underpin all of these values.
